The Eyre Peninsula Local Government Association (EPLGA) has announced its newly appointed Executive Officer, Mr Peter Scott. The EPLGA is an association that represents the local government’s in the south-western region of South Australia. It was founded on June 1, 2014 and is a non-profit organisation that aims to support local government members with a focus on strategic planning, marketing, financial management and public policy. The EPLGA also serves as the voice of local government in regional affairs and issues such as infrastructure, health and safety.

Executive Officer Peter Scott
Peter Scott, Head of the Electrical and Electronic Products Group at EPLGA, has been appointed Executive Officer of the organisation. He will take up his new position on 1st January 2019.
Scott has over 30 years’ experience in the electrical and electronic products industry, most recently as Head of the Electrical and Electronic Products Group at EPLGA. He has a strong background in electrical engineering, product development and business management.
Commenting on his appointment, Scott said: “I am delighted to have been appointed Executive Officer of EPLGA. I am looking forward to working with the members and staff of the organisation to continue the success we have achieved over the past few years.”
Purpose of the EPLGA
The European Plastic Manufacturers Association (EPLGA) was established in 1984 as an independent trade association to represent the interests of the plastics industry worldwide. The purpose of the EPLGA is to promote the competitiveness of plastics manufacturing in Europe and globally, provide a forum for sharing best practices, and advocate on behalf of member companies on issues affecting the plastics industry.
In October 2014, Mr. Peter Scott was appointed Executive Officer of the EPLGA. He has over 25 years’ experience in the plastics industry, most recently serving as Managing Director at 3M Company Europe. In this role, he led 3M’s operations in Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America. Prior to this, he was Deputy Regional Manager for Europe at 3M Company. Mr. Scott also has experience in business development, product management, and strategic planning. His expertise will be valuable as the EPLGA works to support its members and advocate on their behalf.
What is the Executive Officer?
The Executive Officer is the head of the EPLGA. The Executive Officer leads and oversees all aspects of the association’s operations. In addition, the Executive Officer manages and coordinates the work of the EPL GA’s executive committee and staff.
The Executive Officer is the highest-ranking officer in the English Premier League Association (EPLGA). The role was created in 2006 and is currently held by Peter Scott. The executive officer is a key role in the organization and plays a vital role in supporting and driving the strategic direction of the league. The executive officer assists with organizational planning, establishes and maintains relationships with external organizations, oversees the league’s financial operations, and leads on policy development. They also work on developing the governance structure of the league. In short, they are responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the EPLGA operate as smoothly as possible.
Mr. Peter Scott has been appointed as the new executive officer of the EPL GA. Mr Scott brings decades of experience in sports management to his new role, most recently serving as general manager of Scottish Football Association Premiership club Heart of Midlothian FC. Prior to that he was senior vice president at MLS side Toronto FC, where he oversaw all operational aspects of the club including player acquisitions and contract negotiations. He is also a member of both the Scottish Football Association Board of Directors and UEFA Technical Committee.

Peter Scott has been appointed the Executive Officer of the European Plastic Logic Group (EPLGA).
Scott will take up his role on 1 January 2019 and will be responsible for overall management and governance of the EPLGA, as well as its membership.
Prior to this, he was Managing Director at SMT Europe Ltd, a global trade association representing the plastics industry.
He has also held senior positions at Tetra Pak and DSM.
Future Goals for the EPLGA by Peter Scott
The Electronic Packaging League of America (EPLGA) Executive Officer, Mr Peter Scott has announced his future goals for the organisation during his recent presentation at the EPL GA Annual Conference and Exhibition. “Our vision is to be known as the global leader in electronic packaging,” said Scott.
One of the key areas that Scott feels needs to be addressed is the lack of recognition given to the industry by government and regulatory bodies. “We need to work with legislators, regulators and other interested parties to help shape legislation and regulations that will foster innovation, reduce environmental impact and create jobs,” he said.
Scott is also keen to see more involvement from industry in research and development projects. “We need to increase our investment in R&D so that we can stay ahead of the curve and develop new products that meet the growing needs of our customers,” he said.
